iDevices Launches Wireless 'Instant Switch'

After first being announced at CES 2017 touting HomeKit and Alexa support, iDevices has finally released their easy-to-use Instant Switch for smart homes. Switches and buttons have been gaining popularity in smart homes. They are a great alternative way to control devices that are either hard to reach, or when you have guests/children.

No longer limited to the light switches installed in a home, users can instead place Instant Switch anywhere, without the usual construction, wire-running, or electrical installation. Designed to mimic a permanently installed light switch, Instant Switch can be fitted over any standard two-screw wall plate and comes with an iDevices wall plate for added convenience. Stick-on, Command adhesive backing makes it possible to mount the Instant Switch with just a peel-and-stick to the wall. A built-in ball level ensures perfect placement and the batteries have a two-year lifespan.
Unfortunately, things seem to have changed since the original announcement, as it has dropped support for HomeKit and Alexa. Instead, it only works with other iDevices products (not including their thermostat), which may be limiting to some.

If you would like to pick one up, they are available now on Amazon for $34.99 with free shipping.
