WWDC 2017 to Take Place from June 5-9 in San Jose

Apple announced today that its Worldwide Developers Conference will be kicking off with a keynote on June 5. The five-day conference will be held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, the site of the original WWDC and located just minutes from Apple’s new iSpaceship headquarters in Cupertino.


The venue is located just a few minutes from Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino and is in the same area as Apple’s existing campus. Apple notes in its announcement that this year’s WWDC will provide developers with the opportunity to interact with over 1,000 Apple engineers.

The McEnery Convention Center will be the hub for thousands of attendees with great hotel, restaurant and entertainment options, all within walking distance. In addition to the keynote address, get-togethers, sessions and labs for developers, Apple is working with the city of San Jose and local businesses to celebrate the return of WWDC with very special experiences around San Jose throughout the week.
Developers interested in visiting WWDC 2017 can apply for tickets from Monday, March 27. Just like with previous years, you will have to enter a draw and if you win, then only you will be able to buy tickets to the events.

Some of the highlights include:
  • Sessions—Get the in-depth technical details you need to build the next generation of apps using newly announced Apple technologies.
  • Hands-On Labs—Learn more about implementing new technologies into your code with expert advice from Apple engineers in a collaborative group setting.
  • Consultations—Make an appointment with Apple experts for personal one-on-one help on user interface design, app distribution, marketing, analytics, and more.
  • Guest Speakers—Enjoy your lunch while watching engaging and entertaining talks given by industry experts and luminaries.
  • Get Togethers—Meet with like-minded developers and Apple experts for engaging and motivating conversations around specific topics.
  • Special Events—Take advantage of exciting experiences around the city all week, and celebrate with with an incredible bash on Thursday.
In addition to the keynote address, get-togethers, sessions and labs for developers, Apple is working with the city of San Jose and local businesses to celebrate the return of WWDC with “very special experiences” around San Jose throughout the week.
