Apple Seeds iOS 10.2 Beta 2 to Public Testers

If you’re enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program, you can now download a second beta of iOS 10.2 to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Apple yesterday released iOS 10.2 beta 2 to members of the Apple Developer Program and now the software is available to public beta testers, too. In addition to this new public beta, Apple also seeded macOS Sierra 10.12.2 beta 2 to registered developers today.

What’s New (so far) in Beta 2:
  • SOS: There’s a new SOS feature that is activated when the Power button on the iPhone is pressed quickly five times. According to Apple, the system works in the United States, the United Kingdom, India, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Italy, India, Belgium, Australia, Brazil, France, Canada, China, Russia, and Spain.
  • TV app: The new TV app, for the single universal TV guide, is now available in iOS 10.2.
  • Apple Music: While listening to music, the Shuffle and Repeat buttons are a bit bigger, making it easier to see and activate.
