Upcoming iPhones from Apple to Be Called iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus; No Pro Model This Year

A new report from the fairly reliable Japanese blog Mac Otakara has put an end to persisting iPhone 7 Pro rumors, saying Apple will stick to its regular handset naming convention and market the upcoming phones under the expected iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus monikers.

The report cites a “reliable information source” that previously provided accurate information regarding the iPhone 5c and was first to call for the iPhone SE name.

The “reliable source” of the website also confirms that the new iPhones will come with a significantly improved camera, a touch-based home button, a faster A10 chip, and no 3.5mm audio jack. With less than a month left for Apple to allegedly unveil the new iPhones, we are likely going to see more leaks of the handsets popping up on the internet.

At this point though, it is all but clear that the new iPhones from Apple will feature the same basic design as the iPhone 6/6s, which is not going to go down well with most consumers. However, a vastly improved camera and water-resistance are likely going to be big enough upgrades for quite a few users to upgrade to them.

So what do you think ?
