Tweetbot for iPhone updated, now supports Twitter’s new ‘quote tweet’ feature

The Tapbots issued an update for their iPhone Twitter client Tweetbot 3 today, bringing the app to version 3.6. The release includes a number of bug fixes, and it adds support for the new ‘Quote Tweet’ feature Twitter rolled out last month.
The update, which was released on Friday, May 1, and adds Twitter’s new “quote tweet” feature. With this, users will need to change a setting within the app to gain access to it. Once that’s done, Tweetbot will no longer copy the entire tweet a user is quoting into the compose window. Now, it will simply utilize the URL corresponding to the tweet.

The quoted tweet will showcase as an embedded media tweet within the timeline once it has been tweeted.

You can find the latest version of Tweetbot for iPhone in the App Store for $4.99.
