Apple launches new Siri website with focus on features and functionality

Apple on Wednesday launched a revamped Siri website with a slew of changes, including an all-new design and several other improvements. Atop the new page is a video of Siri in action, followed by a comprehensive page of information on the digital assistant’s features.
The brand new website was recently launched to showcase Siri, Apple’s digital personal assistant tucked inside iOS devices. The new site has a big focus on what Siri can do, and just what users can do to activate the functionality quickly and painlessly. There are several different categories to look through: “At a Glance,” “Staying in Touch,” “Getting Organized,” “Sports,” “Entertainment,” “Out and About,” “Getting Answers,” and “Tips and Tricks.”
“Talk to Siri as you would to a friend and it can help you get things done — like sending messages, placing calls, or making dinner reservations. You can ask Siri to show you the Orion constellation or to flip a coin. Siri works hands-free, so you can ask it to show you the best route home and what your ETA is while driving. And it’s connected to the world, working with Wikipedia, Yelp, Rotten Tomatoes, Shazam, and other online services to get you even more answers. The more you use Siri, the more you’ll realize how great it is. And just how much it can do for you.“
Each of the categories are designed to show just how Siri functions, and how users activate the functionality. Using voice commands, such as “When is the sunset in Paris?” will bring up the answer for that specific query. The website is designed in an easy-to-read grid fashion, with plenty of images and clear text, making it easy to find specific pieces of functionality baked within Siri that some users may not have known about.

In short, the new Siri website isn’t groundbreaking or anything, but it is definitely prettier and more useful than its predecessor. It also comes as at a good time, just weeks before the Apple Watch—which relies heavy on Siri and voice commands—is set to make its official debut.
