Apple could hold a special event late February

Apple’s last event saw the unveiling of new iPhones, new iPads, Apple Pay, and even the Apple Watch. As usual, it was a busy day for a lot of products.

Apple could be holding a special event at the end of February, reports French Apple blog iGen. According to sources, Tuesday, February 24th could be the specific date Apple has chosen for this event, which would likely focus on an official Apple Watch launch, and possibly the the long-rumored 12-inch MacBook Air.

As for the details of the event, as expected there is not much information. However, as far as the products that will go on stage, the report suggests it could see the Apple Watch take center stage again, as Apple ignites yet another batch of hype for the upcoming wearable, which is on schedule to ship in April. However, while the wearable will obviously be a huge topic of conversation, a MacBook may be what the event is really for.

The report points out that it is likely the 12-inch MacBook, which has been rumored constantly for quite some time, will be the ultimate star of the show. It’s been predicted, most notably by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, that the 12-inch MacBook will debut in March, so a February event would indeed herald its arrival in a big way.
