Tim Cook takes the Ice Bucket Challenge [Video]

Tim Cook the CEO of Apple accepted the ice bucket challenge to raise the awareness and donations towards the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS.

As we reported earlier today, Apple’s marketing chief Phil Schiller participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge, and had challenged Apple CEO Tim Cook to do the same within the next 24 hours.

Even better, this all happened in front of company employees who earlier tonight gathered for Apple’s Diversity beer bash at 1 Infinite Loop headquarters. And in an even more peculiar move, the iPhone maker has documented this in a video posted to its official YouTube channel and included for your viewing pleasure right below the fold…

Tim Cook has challenged Disney CEO and Apple board member Bob Iger, musician Michael Franti, and Dr. Dre, who recently joined Apple post the acquisition of Beats for $3 billion.

Tim Cook joins other tech industry leaders such as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to take up the challenge.

The video also shows Cook throwing down the gauntlet to Disney CEO Bob Iger, Beats’ Dr. Dre and Franti to take the plunge. Subsequently, Cook tweeted out the above video and again challenged Iger, Dre and Franti to get drenched by tagging them in the post.
