How To Deactivate Your Apple ID Account

If you have an iPhone, iPad or Mac, chances are that you have created an Apple ID account at some point. If you have an iTunes, App Store or iCloud account, then you have an Apple ID. For some reasons you need to deactivate your Apple ID account, but don't know how. Unfortunately Apple doesn't allow users to delete Apple ID accounts outright. Thankfully we've prepared a simple guide that shows you how to deactivate your Apple ID account from all your Apple devices.

How to delete your Apple ID account

While there is no official way to delete your Apple ID account, here are two solutions that could help:
  • Try giving Apple a call at 1-800-MY-APPLE to see if they are able to delete your Apple ID account. We’ve heard conflicting reports about this method. Some say that Apple is unlikely to honor this request, some say they successfully managed to have a customer service rep delete their account for good.
  • Sign into the My Apple ID portal and change the primary email address that it is associated with your Apple ID account. This technically won’t delete your account, but your main email address won’t be associated with it anymore.

STEP 6: You will have to click on Deauthorize this computer then click on Sign out.
