App Recap: Spiderman, 7D Mine Train and more apps and games

Well here we are again in "App Recap" series and today we've brought to you a group of games and application to try on your iPhone or iPad. the weekend is in sight, and we’ve got a selection of ten great apps to keep you entertained over the next two days.

New Apps

7D Mine TrainJoin the hilariously fun adventure and get a sneak peek into the world of the Seven Dwarfs in 7D Mine Train, the latest Disney game to hit the App Store. Features include high speed adventure with over-the-top visual humor and one-liners. Unlock special power ups for each dwarf to help you avoid obstacles and complete missions. 7D Mine Train is free for iPhone and iPad.

Damn Little TownDamn Little Town has launched for free on the App Store. The full version is available as a 50% off in-app purchase for a limited time. The turn-based, tactical board game is designed for 1-4 players, during which you build your little town and place your settlers, and then try to escape the town which has been corrupted. Dam Little Town is free for iPhone and iPad.

Jacob JonesJacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery Prologue is the free version of the App Store Best of 2013 winning Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery: Episode 1 app. The game is centered around a small boy, his big new friend and a huge problem. Uncover just what is going on at Camp Eagle Feather on summer vacation in Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery. Free for iPhone and iPad.

Super GravitronSuper Gravitron is the mini-game that originally appeared in the VVVVVV app that we featured in yesterday’s edition of App Recap. The mini-game is now available as a free, standalone game on iOS. It has the same early 1990s classic graphical feel as its bigger sibling. Super Gravitron is free on the App Store, and is a universal app for iPhone and iPad.

Updated Apps

Tweetbot3Everyone’s favorite Twitter client Tweetbot 3 received an update today, gaining several new features: support for viewing and posting multiple Twitter images, corresponding tweets for image detail views, a play icon for Instagram videos and various bug fixes. Tweetbot 3 now sits at version 3.4 is remains $4.99 on the App Store for iPhone. There is still no iPad version for iOS 7.

FB MessengerFacebook Messenger was updated to version 6.0 yesterday with the additions of instant video sending and big likes. You can now shoot and play 15-second video messages from the camera within the app, and you can press and hold to send an even bigger thumbs up when you really like something. Facebook Messenger is free on the App Store for iPhone.

On Sale Apps

SW JourneysIf you are looking for a good and now cheap game to play this weekend, look no further than Star Wars Journeys: The Phantom Menace. The app has been discounted from its usual $4.99 price tag to just 99 cents for a limited time. The low price won’t last, so get downloading quick. Star Wars Journeys: The Phantom Menace is 99 cents for iPhone and iPad while on sale.

War QuestDungeon adventures in the Warhammer World await you in Warhammer Quest, a popular RPG game on the App Store that has been discounted from $4.99 to 99 cents for a limited time. Lead a group of brave adventurers through the perilous dungeons of the Warhammer World in search of wealth and glory. Warhammer Quest is 99 cents for iPhone and iPad.

Amazing Spider Man 2Now that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has pretty well come and gone in movie theatres, Gameloft has discounted the movie companion game to just 99 cents on the App Store. It used to sell for $4.99 since April 18th, so it is a pretty good deal. New York is under threat from a city-wide gang war and, you know, you’re Spider-Man. The game is 99 cents for iPhone and iPad.

99 BricksOur last inclusion in this edition of App Recap before the weekend is99 Bricks Wizard Academy, which just happens to be 66% off until Monday. Explore a magical world, learn powerful skills, improve your building skills and become a wizard of legends. 99 Bricks Wizard Academy is 99 cents on the App Store, and is a universal app for iPhone and iPad.
