Athena 2 For IOS 7: Add Cool Effects To App Icons

Several developers have updated their jailbreak apps and themes for iOS 7, while others are still on the verge of doing so. Athena, Vatsal Manot’s creation, is a tweak that allowed users to add tinted icons and style to a jailbroken iDevice without installing WinterBoard themes – it was one that took a while to be updated, but Manot has finally done it.

Right now you can install Athena 2 for iOS 7 jailbreak tweak..

The functionality of the second version remains almost the same: the tweak appeals to users who want to make fascinating visual changes to the stock iOS interface, without installing any WinterBoard themes.

All the options in Athena 2 are handled in the Settings app, and another highlight is that the changes made don’t require a respiring or a reboot.

The appeal of this tweak is that individual app icons can be rendered on an individual basis, allowing users to vary their color modes and apply tinting to create a unique visual experience. The new version also produces a fast rendering experience.

And this is how it looks like on iPhone:
If you’re interesting in trying out the new commercial icon tinting tweak Athena 2, you can grab it from Cydia’s BigBoss repository for $0.99. It works on iOS 7.0 and above.
