iPad Air online orders are live!

Have you been anxiously waiting to get your hands on the iPad Air, the lightest iPad in the world (and the fastest)? Well, time to get in action if you’re from U.S. or Canada. Apple has started taking online orders for the device.

Specifically, the iPad Air is 28% lighter and 20% thinner than iPad 4. The content becomes even more immersive thanks to the narrow bezels and thin borders.

As for the performance, the latest benchmark tests reveal that the device is faster both in terms of CPU and GPU performance than iPad 4.

The latest iPad comes with the A7 64-bit chip (clocks in at 1.4 GHz according to AnandTech), Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity. You can read more details about it in our previous iPad Air coverage.

As for the prices, the Wi-Fi iPad Air models are being offered in two colors: silver and space gray. The price is $499 USD for the 16 GB variant, $599 for the 32 GB variant, $699 for the 64 GB variant and $799 for the 128 GB variant.

The Wi-Fi+ Cellular iPad models are available in the same colors, but the price is $130 high for each variant, so that makes is $629 for 16 GB, $729 for 32 GB, $829 for 64 GB and $929 for 128 GB.

U.S. customers can also take advantage of personal pickup.
