The easy way to bring iOS 7 notification center to iOS 6 & iOS 5

One of the major changes made to the iOS during the transition of iOS 6 to iOS 7 was the revamp of the Notification Center. Now it is a simple transparent overlay.

However, not everyone has updated to iOS 7, and one of the facts is because there is no untethered jailbreak available for the latest firmware. But that doesn’t mean that users on iOS 6 and below can’t get a feel about the visual design of the iOS 7 NC. This is possible through the new Cydia tweak called SevenCenter.

With this jailbreak app, you can bring the iOS 7 Notification Center into iOS 5 and iOS 6 devices.

And the tweak is quite simple to use. After downloading and installation, there are no configurations required in the Settings menu. Just starting the tweak brings it into action.

As you can see from the screenshot, iOS 7 doesn’t include textures that were present on iOS 6. You do get to retain all functionality with SevenCenter’s installation, because it is only for purporting the style of iOS 7.

The jailbreak app (SevenCenter) is available at Cydia’s BigBoss repository. It is a free of charge download. Let us know what you think if you try it out.
